Ngā Pōtiki Papakāinga Housing Program

Kia ora whānau, Manawa Community Housing Trust are developing a Papakāinga housing program for registered Ngā Pōtiki members who hold a current Licence to Occupy on suitable Māori land within Tauranga Moana.

MCHT may assist with affordable housing, funding, and finance. You must have some savings and be prepared to put in some sweat equity.

If you are interested and you currently hold a Licence to Occupy (LTO) then phone Pani at the office to give your details and we will go from there whanau. Please note. We are registering only members who hold current LTOs.

This is intended to be a long-term programme over many years so if you don't have a Licence to Occupy then think about getting one from your trustees. Start preparing now...

1. Papakāinga EOI Form – for registered members who hold current LTO’s and are interested in this program.

Members must provide a copy of their LTO with the EOI Form

2. Members who don’t have an LTO, we have provided 2 templates that they could use with their Māori land block trustees.

The MLC template is the best one to use unless whanau are getting a loan from Kiwibank, then use the Kiwibank LTO template please. These resources are available for whanau to use outside of the program also.
